What expectations and progression should we see?

All children show improvement as they learn a new skill, some faster than others. The performance opportunities we offer, give students the experience to engage with an audience, enjoy the group interaction, team work, stage and film experience. This teaches them to be prepared, learn self control, and be responsible for their own learning.

Our school structure allows students who excel in the performing arts to develop to a pre-tertiary level and be able to audition for university education. We also provide an awareness of the many opportunities in the industry including teaching, production, writing, directing, set and costume design, choreography, stage managing, lighting and sound.

During the year we have school events where parents and family members can watch class and attend performances. These include Parent Viewing days, Acting, Song & Dance Showcase Performances , Annual Concert, and Filming events.  Parents are not encouraged to wait in class once students have settled into the class routine as it's important they are responsible for their own learning.

Reports are written one a year in term 1 during our Audition Assessments, which is a "learning through audition process" (by an assessor).
