Enrolment Terms and Conditions
Students and their parents or caregivers agree to the following terms and conditions.
The Mighty Good Talent School will provide a safe environment to teach all subjects of the performing arts taken by a student. The Mighty Good Talent School teaches an established curriculum in performing arts subjects. We cannot guarantee performance employment.
We cannot guarantee a student will achieve, unless the student wants to achieve.
If you are unhappy with any of the services we provide, please talk to an administrator. If you are happy with the services and results, please speak with an administrator. We like compliments as well as criticism.
If you have any questions about a student please ask an administrator for a ‘Pink Slip’ which will be circulated to all relevent teachers and a personal report given to you the following week..
Trial Class
A free trial offer comprises 1 day of lessons, free of charge within the timetable, class appropriate for this student(s) age groups and ability and is limited to one (1) location.
Fees and payments
Fees will be invoiced per term, with a pre-paid discount offered prior to the commencement of each term.
Fees are to be paid via Cash, Visa, Mastercard or Electronic Funds Transfer. Payment Details are on invoices.
Discount fees are to be paid by the cut off date and are not available on payment plans.
Fees are to be paid on or before the first day of term, with trial students exempted.
Payment plans must be requested by emailing [email protected], signed and returned no later than week 2 of each term. Payment Plans are renewed on a term-by-term basis.
Late fees of $20.00 a week will be applied to outstanding accounts beyond week 2 of each term, and no current signed payment plan has been received by staff of the Mighty Good Talent School.
Class Fees are non-refundable. If a student misses a class or withdraws from the School, all fees paid will be forfeited. At the discretion of the manager, in the case of pre-planned holiday's these may be removed from the term invoice with 2 weeks notice.
Casual classes are available to tiny toes and happy feet students only.
Any fees to recover costs will be applied to all invoices including but not limited to collection agency costs and administration fees.
Mighty Good Talent School reserves the right to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances; a credit will be applied to your account and can be used for fees, costumes or any other Talent School related costs. Credits under $50.00 are not redeemable for refund.
All cheques that are returned/dishonoured will incur a $35 fee and the total must be repaid by cash or direct deposit/internet transfer.
Communications
Mighty Good Talent School communication is primarily by email and you consent to receive information from us via email, SMS and handed out in class. Social media is also used to share important updates.
Safety
Mighty Good Talent School and its teachers/supervisors provide a safe environment.
All employees are WWCC checked as required by relevant legislation.
Mighty Good Talent School is not responsible or liable for loss or damage of personal property.
Mighty Good Talent School only provides supervision to students during their scheduled class times.
Any student(s), parent or caregiver must advise at the time of enrolment if for religious or legal reasons, do not wish to be photographed or filmed. It is understood that any type of photography or filming is of a personal nature and must not be used for commercial purposes.
Administration must be informed of any injuries, medical conditions, allergies suffered by the student from each week at class.
Mighty Good Talent School will seek medical help where necessary at the cost of student or their parent/caregiver.
If an Emergency does occur and a parent or caregiver is not at the studio, staff are instructed to deal with the safety of all students, call any necessary emergency services. If a student is transported via an ambulance you will be responsible for any charges.
Mighty Good Talent School are Mandatory Notifiers and adhere to the CHILD SAFE ENVIRONMENT Policy.
Copyright
All costumes, choreography and music edits are subject to copyright and belong to Mighty Good Talent School. These may not be used without prior consent from The Director.
Student/Parent Behaviour
Students and their parents or caregivers must be respectful to all other students, teachers and supervisors representing Mighty Good Talent School.
Mighty Good Talent School has a policy in place for disruptive and disrespectful students.
Costumes
Each student requires 1 X costume per song/Dance class they attend for our End of Year Concert.
Students measurements are taken during August to prepare for costumes to be made. Costumes costs are the responsibility of the student and their parent or caregiver. Costumes will not be given out to any student who have not paid their costume account in full.
Privacy
Mighty Good Talent School will ensure it respects the privacy of staff, students, clients by implementing the National Privacy Principles.
The National Privacy Principles (NPPs) in the Privacy Amendment (Privacy Sector) Act 2000 sets out how private sector organisations should collect, use, keep
secure and disclose personal information. The principles give individuals a right to know what information an organisation holds about them and a right to correct that information if it is wrong. Mighty Good Talent School collects personal information solely for the purpose of operating as Mighty Good Talent School or for representation to the film/ televsion / entertainment industry.
Mighty Good Talent School may provide images, name,DOB and performance details to casting directors within the film/television/ entertainment industry for the sole purpose of student development, performance \experience and paid acting work.
The type of information Mighty Good Talent School collects and holds includes (but is not limited to) persoal information, including sensitive information, about:
Students and parents and/or guardians before, during and after the course of a student’s enrolment.
How we protect your information
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or
destruction of personal information, transaction information and data stored .
Access to Information
Under the National Privacy Principles the student, artist, client or staff member can access his/her personal information and may correct inaccurate or outdated
information about them by emailing [email protected]
Storage of Information
Students will have access to all information held on them. Mighty Good Talent School will store and use the information appropriately and limit access to only those who have a legal reason to have access to that information, or whom the student, client, user or staff hasgiven permission. Students, clients, staff or artists who request access to their information will be given full access. No cost will be charged for them accessing their information whilst they
are enrolled or registered with Mighty Good Talent School. For access to records, the student, client, staff must apply via email to [email protected]
A search fee will apply on all other instance.
