Welcome to Mighty Good Talent School!

We’re so excited to welcome your family to MGTS — and for your child to experience their first class with us.

✨ What happens now?

You’ll receive an email from us confirming your trial or enrolment and your class details.

Once you have that confirmation, there’s nothing else you need to do. Simply come along to your confirmed class and meet us at Star Theatres.

For your first visit, we recommend arriving about 10 minutes early.

This gives your child a chance to settle in, meet their teacher and classmates, and gives you time to ask us any questions.

Then it’s time to have some fun!

More Than Just a Dance School

At Mighty Good Talent School, we don’t just teach steps, songs or lines. We teach performers.

□ We Teach Performers

Our students have the opportunity to learn acting, singing and dance, because each area of performance helps develop the others.

□ Acting Confidence, communication, storytelling and bringing characters to life.

□ Singing Technique, projection, emotion and learning how to communicate a song to an audience.

□ Dance Movement, coordination, rhythm, confidence and storytelling through performance.

Each skill helps develop the others — and most importantly, our students get to experience what it actually feels like to perform.

There’s Something for Every Child

Our younger students start by developing confidence, rhythm, coordination, movement and a love of performing.

As they grow, they continue developing their skills across dance, singing and acting at a pace suited to their age and experience.

Every Performer Is Different

Some students dream of performing professionally. Others simply love being on stage.

And some arrive at their first class feeling incredibly shy and discover a confidence they didn’t know they had.

There isn’t one type of MGTS performer.

□️ Performing Is Part of What We Do

We don’t believe students should spend all year learning without getting the opportunity to use those skills.

MGTS students experience live stage performances, plays, singing, dancing, acting and even filmmaking.

In acting, students learn audition pieces and experience assessments inspired by real auditions.

They also perform plays on stage, with every student given the opportunity to be involved and have a meaningful role.

We Make Short Films

Our acting students also get to experience working on a short film.

They learn film-set terminology, performance for camera and set etiquette while working with industry professionals during their regular classes.

Finished MGTS films have even been screened on public television, including Channel 44.

We Love Australian Stories

Our students grow up surrounded by international entertainment and musical theatre — and we absolutely embrace that.

But we also want young performers to see and perform stories that sound like them.

That’s why we make a conscious effort to include Australian and locally created material in our scripts, performances and projects.

□ Our Students Sing Live

Before performances, our singers also experience recording their vocals during class.

These recordings support our larger productions and allow students to dance and perform freely without every child needing to wear a microphone.

As students become older and more experienced, microphones are introduced for solos and senior performances, helping prepare those interested in professional performance environments.

□️ We Know Families Are Busy!

Where possible, our timetables are designed so students can take their acting, singing and dance classes on the same day.

Rather than travelling backwards and forwards several times each week, many MGTS students can enjoy their performing arts training with a one-day-a-week commitment.

They don’t need to arrive knowing how to perform.

That’s what we’re here to teach them.

Whether they walk through our doors already dreaming about being on stage, or they’re simply trying something new, we’re excited to see where their MGTS journey takes them.
