Level 1 .
Tinies DanceFirst Term develops dance skills to the next level, preparing students for the end of term ‘Audition Assessments'.
Second Term concentrates on stage technique culminating in the Mid Year Showcase performances. Third Term develops technique and flexibility and begins to prepare for the Annual Concert in the fourth term. Fourth Term develops more technique, flexibility and performance technique and the class song is choreographed and rehearsed for the Annual Concert. |
Junior Dance, Singing and Acting Performance Package
Dance
First Term develops dance skills to the next level, preparing students for the end of term ‘Audition Assessments'.
Second Term concentrates on stage technique culminating in the Mid Year Showcase performances.
Third Term develops technique and flexibility and begins to prepare for the Annual Concert in the fourth term.
Fourth Term develops more technique, flexibility and performance technique and the class song is choreographed and rehearsed for the Annual Concert.

Singing and Acting
First term focuses on basic vocal confidence reviewing exercises and introducing the concept of the “audition”. Rhythmic games are developed and through acting monologues, confidence is established working towards the end of term "Audition Assessments".
Second Term culminates in the “Mid Year Showcase” performances. In preparation for these performance students are introduced to the art of recording, using professional recording equipment and sound engineers. They will also be part of the Mid-year Showcase performances.
Third Term continues the focus on pitching, rhythm and recording, in preparation for the “Annual Concert”.
Fourth Term provides a look at different styles of music including simple “pop” and “Musical Theatre”. Each style is investigated, singing various songs appropriate to the age level. Term Four also focuses on performance techniques culminating in the “Annual Concert”.
Second Term culminates in the “Mid Year Showcase” performances. In preparation for these performance students are introduced to the art of recording, using professional recording equipment and sound engineers. They will also be part of the Mid-year Showcase performances.
Third Term continues the focus on pitching, rhythm and recording, in preparation for the “Annual Concert”.
Fourth Term provides a look at different styles of music including simple “pop” and “Musical Theatre”. Each style is investigated, singing various songs appropriate to the age level. Term Four also focuses on performance techniques culminating in the “Annual Concert”.
Acting
The Acting class covers all facets of Acting and includes the areas of speech, stagecraft, role-playing, characterisation, improvisation and performance.
The standard and intensity of the work undertaken varies according to students' age and abilities.
First Term develops acting skills to a higher level and prepares students for the end of term ‘Audition Assessments'. Each student learns a monologue and various exercises to develop better speech and imagination.
Second Term concentrates on stage technique including direction, development of the character and stage terminology, culminating in the Mid Year “Showcase Performances”.
Third Term expands the understanding of the actor, developing voice and television technique as a presenter and actor, and defines the differences of Stage and Camera Technique. The work also begins this term to prepare for the film to be shot in the fourth term.
Fourth Term the class film is shot in the middle of the term and then there is debriefing and improvisation work for both film and stage to finish the year.
This includes more filming and exercises designed to improve the students understanding of all performance mediums.

They are structured to provide students of various ages and ability, to progress at a comfortable rate while encouraging and developing potential, confidence and creativity. These classes also provide invaluable knowledge of the professional singing arena developing skills necessary to move toward to develop their full potential.
First Term focuses on basic vocal technique through the “pop” idiom and prepares students to “audition”. Some very basic musical terminology is used and rhythmic ability is developed. Term one prepares the students for an end of term “Audition Assessments”.
Second Term continues vocal development through exercises and songs with the element of “performance techniques” as the main theme. In preparation for the Showcase performance students are taught to record, using professional recording equipment and sound engineers.
Third Term develops skills in harmony, phrasing and interpretation as students' record songs for the “Annual Concert”. Recording techniques are refined this term using multi-tracking and solo work. Vocal technique is continued and strengthened.
Term Four provides a look at different styles of music including “pop”, “musical theatre”, “Rap” and “Motown”. Each style is looked at through singing various songs in the style, the differences of each style and how to adapt your vocal style. Songs are chosen for each age and level, to allow students a comfortable progression through each style.

The music used is a combination of all forms of “pop” and routines are choreographed featuring current Hip-Hop/ Funk style dance.
Second Term concentrates on stage technique, more flexibility and style and culminates in the Showcase performances, which uses popular songs taught in the singing classes, choreographed to the technical development of the students.
Third Term works on technique and flexibility and prepares for the Annual Concert (in the fourth term), with more intense work on dance development. This term also concentrates on fluidity of movement, better coordination and performance skills.
Fourth Term the routines for the Annual Concert are choreographed based on the developmental work taught in term 3. Students rehearse and develop their performance abilities further.

This today style of dance has proven very popular and is available as single weekly classes.

Tap
Tap Classes help students develop a wonderful sense of internal rhythm.
Classes begin with a warm up, consisting of Barre, centre and corner work to extend mobility.

- Various styles and ‘funky' music is used in class.
- Tap theory is also taught.
- Tap shoes are essential.
Classical
Classical dance develops posture and grace, and helps create a more fluid style and is the basis of all dance structure.

- If dancing is to be pursued by the student as a career, Classical should be included in their mix of classes.
- Pointe classes are available for the more experienced dancers and classical tights and leotards are worn in class.
Acrobatics
Flexibility is essential for a good dancer. The acrobatic class is structured at each student's own level from the beginner to the advanced.
The class begins with warm up and stretching exercises. Students then work on upper body strength for handstands, cartwheels and more advanced moves.
